More About Me
Therapy can be hard to capture in a few words, but after years in the field, I’ve been able to boil it down to this: it’s like looking into a special kind of mirror. Through talking with me you’ll be able to better see yourself as you are now, as you have been in the past, and as you can be in the future. What you choose to do with this information is completely up to you. I’ll be here to guide you towards concrete goals you want to establish for yourself, and help you mitigate pressing issues that may be hindering your progress. Past clients have told me sessions feel like talking to an old friend, or a trusted co-worker. I’m here to take on whatever form it is you need to help you process barriers, develop coping skills and find success.
My clinical experience has been rooted extensively in school, clinic, residential, and hospital settings, working in this past decade in almost every facet of the mental health system available in the US, helping adults, teens, families, and couples struggling with a wide range of issues from Anxiety and Low Self-Esteem, to Major Depression and Bipolar Disorder.
Prior to my training as a clinician, I was involved in media and television production for both MSNBC and Google. Growing up in an immigrant household, television was more than entertainment. It was story, it was creativity, it was the American dream. I was fascinated by the medium and excited to study it. But after working in the field, I found the experience unfulfilling. And realized that television and film was only a vehicle for the expression I had grown to cherish. I made a commitment from that point on to better understanding the true source of expression and creativity: people. And I look forward to helping you explore your own.
